What is AGERE?
Age regression is a healing method occasionally guided by therapists in response to childhood traumas. Those who regress often do so due to stress but occasionally they'll regress due to boredom or as a way to relax.AGERE is always 100% a SFW community and should be kept separated from NSFW/kink.Preface: The term "little" is shared by both SFW & NSFW communities, but has it's origins from the DID/system community where it was used to refer to child alters as well origins with the kink community. Calling yourself a little doesn't align you with any particular community, but the context along with it can be defining.Please take this guide as a starting point and cross reference with your own research.
Terminology
This is a list of terms that is commonly used with the AGERE community!

| PETRE | Short for "pet regression" and often used when someone means PETDRE |
| PETDRE | Short for "pet dreaming", when someone chooses to act like an animal |
| GIRLRE | Short for "girl regression", used when someone has a girl-like regression |
| BOYRE | Short for "boy regression", used when someone has a boy-like regression |
| Little | Used to refer to someone who regresses |
| Littlespace | Used to refer to the headspace someone has when they regress |
| Pet | Used to refer to someone who pet regresses |
| Petspace | Used to refer to the headspace someone has when they pet regress |
| Middle | Used to refer to someone who often regresses to an older age |
| CG/Caregiver | A caregiver is someone that cares for a little or a pet when they are regressed. Relationships can be romantic or platonic. |
| Flip | A flip is a someone who is both a little and caregiver. |
| Non-com | Non-com is short for non-community, meaning someone doesn't consider themselves apart of any particular community. Non-com is always 100% SFW. |
| Permaregressed | Describes someone who is most always or always in a regresses headspace |
| Pure Regression | When someone regresses with joyful emotions and/or relaxed |
| Impure Regression | When someone experiences negative emotions or flashbacks while they're regressed |
| Halfre | Short for half regressed and used when someone is partially in a regressed headspace, but not fully in one |
| Inner Child | A term often used to describe the childlike feelings, actions, and otherwise childlike behavior someone has. It's commonly used in the phrase "healing your inner child" or in therapy to talk about trauma from someone's childhood |
DID and AGERE
DID has a long history of being connected with AGERE. DID and AGERE are inseparable and AGERE safe spaces are DID safe spaces and vice versa.

Furries and AGERE
Being a furry is common amongst age regression and vice versa. You don't have to be one to be the other, but the two communities are interconnected.What is a furry?
A furry is someone who chooses to have (a) fursona(s), an animal character that often is deemed the animal version of themself. A furry can be SFW/nonsexual or NSFW/sexual, but being a furry is not an inherently sexual thing.
Some furries may choose to have a fursuit. A fursuit is a costume of someone's fursona.So what are babyfurs?
Babyfur(s) originated as the term for someone in both communities but has since caused a divide. Many people who consider themself a babyfur are into NSFW/age kinks and are known to draw and/or support cubporn (child/child-like furry characters drawn in NSFW/sexual settings).
They are also known to steal terms from AGERE furries & make fun of them for various different reasons.They have claimed and turned the following terms NSFW: lilfur, littlefur, kidfur, babyfur, agerefur, diaperfur, crinklefur, paddedfurSo what term should I use?

The Kink Community
It is important to distinguish that kink is a natural part of life and is fully healthy to enjoy!That being said, ageplay & ABDL is not healthy and though they are aligned with the kink community, do not represent the kink community as a whole. Many people who participate in the kink community do not agree with ageplay and ABDL and wish for it to be separated and abolished.The kink and BDSM community is based around and relies on consent and communication, which the ageplay & ABDL lack. Ageplayers and those in ABDL are known for violating the consent of others. They are known for invading safe spaces, purposefully grooming minors into their play, forcefully involving others in their play by bringing it into public spaces not meant for it, stealing terms and tags from not just the AGERE community but tags that have nothing to do with either community even when the tag is created for and bluntly advertised as SFW only, claiming to be SFW and crosstagging, and so much more.ABDL & ageplayers encourage pedophilia if/when not actively participating in it.Below are some NSFW/kink asscioated terms. Not all of these are asscioated with ABDL/ageplay but none of them should be mixed with AGERE.

Pacis come in different styles whether it's the teet or the shield! They can be various levels of decorated, but be sure to get one (or more) marketed for adults or modded baby pacis!

Tone Tags and What Are They?
Tone tags/indicators are short text at the end of a message to let the reader know how the message is meant to be read, clear up any misunderstanding, or simply tell what the tone is.
The tag is separated from the message it is indicating by a slash /Tone tags are especially useful for neurodivergent folk, as they can have a harder time understanding and reading tone through text, as apposed to someone who is neurotypical and may have an easier time.
(not all ND folk have trouble with reading tone, and not all NT folk understand and read tone well)No one is expecting you to remember the full list. Thats part of why it is here!
It’s okay to ask for a reminder on what a tag means, and it’s also okay to accidentally overlook a tag (as long as you acknowledge the mistake).
